This special symposium focuses on advanced materials and emerging technologies for the oil and gas industry, including materials for upstream exploration and production to downstream chemical and fuels production. Technological innovations from increasingly energy efficient processes in the oil and gas industry are enhancing the effectiveness and use of hydrocarbon resources while lowering the overall carbon footprint. Special topics in sustainability of plastics production, including polymer degradability, recyclability, and reusability will be highlighted. This symposium will focus on fundamental, revolutionary, and commercially-viable research and development results, as well as on innovations in sustainability of hydrocarbon resources. Materials ranging from advanced composites, catalysts, and sustainable polymers will be discussed. Industrial attendees will be looking to identify top technologies for co-development and piloting.
