Fermilab has developed a vacuum suction head that can be shaped to conform to any pipe shape for particulate and contamination removal, for example metal chips, shavings, dirt, liquids, radioactive debris, etc. The vacuum suction head can be fitted with rechargeable LED lighting and Blu-tooth camera.
Mobile Analytical Platform for Lead Detection in Drinking Water (LeadMAP)
The LeadMAP provides accurate screening measurement of total lead in drinking water, regardless of its source or specific composition. Results are attained in minutes, and the kit is reusable, allowing testing to be conducted repeatedly in different locations. The LeadMAP is expected to retail competitively with current test-strip screening products.

Robossis: Surgical Robot for Long-Bone Fracture Alignment
Robossis is an intelligent surgical robot for treating long bone fractures, which benefits surgeons by improving alignment by 90%. Robossis consists of a surgical robot, an imaging software, and a haptic controller. Robossis enables the surgeon to accurately apply large forces, precisely align the fractured bone, and significantly reduce radiation.
2DG for acute treatment of status epilepticus, acute repetitive seizures, and TBI
2DG is a reversible inhibitor of glycolysis in development for treatment of status epilepticus and for prevention of delayed consequences of traumatic brain injury (TBI) including posttraumatic epilepsy (PTE) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). 2DG has acute anticonvulsant actions in multiple in vivo and in vitro preclinical seizure models.
