The University of Hawaii Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC), is uniquely positioned at the center of the UH’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, having a deep understanding of research efforts at the university, contact with faculty, researchers and students, institutional support and oversight of innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and is instrumental in the UH’s innovation initiatives. OIC is tasked with managing the research and innovation developed at all 10 campuses within the UH System, protecting UH intellectual property and technology assets and sharing those assets with a broader community to address the challenges and opportunities faced by Hawai‘i and the world. The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) and UH Ventures, which oversees UH's accelerator program and investments in UH affiliated companies, are housed within OIC.
